Hello..

I just replaced my EGR in March and today I got a P0401. Drove the truck to work and it seems ok, a little sluggish maybe, but that could just be in my head.

No cell light, just came up on the SGII

Where should I start? I need this truck to leave town towing tomorrow.

i get that code every so often. especially after towing.

 

When I was getting that code all the time, I purchased a new EGR valve (maybe not necessary) and took my time cleaning all the carbon build up in the intake. There was quite a bit of blockage in there. Got a pick and a chop vac, and went to town

 

Mr. Nobody has you covered. While the egr is off it's also a good time to check for moisture under it.

 

Thanks for the replies, I just cleaned and took a shop vac to it when I replaced the EGR this last spring.

I was towing the day before the code came on.

 

Also, I cleaered the code 3 times and it just kept coming back on the SGII.. No cell light at all.
