Brake caliper dust boot replacement
I`m rebuilding my front brake calipers (`92 F250,4WD,460CID) and getting really frustrated trying to put the new dust seals/boots on.
Is there a trick? took me one hour to get one of them on, the second one tore half way through and I`m loading my Remi870 to put some end to this.
No, not me, the caliper of course

ANY advise is highly appreciated. Thanks!

No this is not about The King of Rock and Roll--- try using a hair dryer and some grease
Where do I point the hair dryer? Or better yet, I have a heat gun. I could melt the dust seals in place.
All jokes aside, this really stumps me. The people that rebuild calipers for resale do this hundred times a day, and if it would take them one hour to install one seal, then the rebuilt calipers would cost $250 bucks. We all know they don`t.
If you ask why I don`t just buy a set of rebuilt ones, it is because the last time I did this I had to rebuild my whole front wheel hub due to overheating(burnt the grease in my wheel bearings and turned all the steel a nice golden color)caused by the pistons not retracting upon brake release.
So no thank you Riebes Auto Parts. Ill do it myself, somehow.
