Has anyone else dealt with this code?It says"reductant quality performance".I was reduced to idle the other day at the boat launch, with my boat.Called roadside assistance to come get the truck. They said they werent liable for my boat, had to call a friend to come get it.Bring the truck to the dealer and he blames it on the DEF i bought, non motorcraft.I purchased ford DEF,siphoned the old stuff out and refilled with the ford DEF.Went out of town on a fishing trip and got the CEL again.Brought it to a different dealer today.Should be interesting.
Is your truck in warranty? Depending on the price of the repair if your not in warranty, I recommend doing the delete at this point. You won't have to worry about ever buying DEF again. Let us know how it comes out. Also show us some pictures of your rig!

My apologies to the OP, but how many miles were on the truck before you performed the delete? You let it get out of warranty first?
The first dealer was Don Bohn Ford in Harvey. I brought it to Crescent Ford today. Tank at Bohn Ford said that the DEF you purchase at Auto Zone has a shelf life and they don't sell enough of it to keep fresh stock.I am still under warranty. I purchased the truck last September and only have 6500 miles on her. I also filled the DEF tank twice in that short amount of time. That should be a hint as to what's going on because they say a full DEF tank should last approximately 7500 miles. We shall see.
I just purchased mine from Don Bohn, which I live in Ms. so it's doubtful I would bring it to them for warranty work anyway. Good luck, let me know how it turns out, need all the info I can get, this is my first diesel vehicle.
I deleted my truck at 13k. Not that many people are as willing as I am to do modifications that could potentially result in a warranty denial. I spent a pretty penny doing the delete, but don't regret it at all. In fact, my DPF/EGR/DEF delete is continually paying for itself. I would be paying for DEF, loss in MPGs right now. So the mileage I gained is just money that is paying for the tuner, straight pipe and EGR delete.

I guess I am hesitant because I know so little about the engine itself, when I purchased the 2011 F150, I went nuts with it right away, voided all kinds of warranty I'm sure, but I am a lot more comfortable with a gas burner. Anyway, I can definitely see the benefit of the delete, the H&S that you have is the Mini Max?
Yep. H & S is the only way to go on these trucks. They have by far done the most testing and have had the most success. They are great to work with too. I have a couple of friends who "thought" they messed some things up by running their rig too hard. One call to H & S and some knowledge and some re-syncs with their tuners they were up and running. Also, most of the time I just drive the truck without the tuner in the truck at all. Just driving it stock without the DPF and EGR, makes me not want to stomp on it all the time and it also prevents thief's from wanting to break my window in and steal an $1800 tuner. I HIGHLY recommend it. Dive into the engine sometime brother. All you need is a toolbox and a six pack of beer, you will realize that the layout is AMAZING and makes all the sense in the world. With my EGR removed, it really OPENS up the whole engine bay. I can take the engine down to just valve covers pretty easy, I have done it so many times. Also talking and working with the diesel master tech in my area, we have agreed that you DO NOT need to remove the cab to do repairs, you can even get to the turbo, it's just a pain in the ***.
Well overall is about 2MPG. I am constantly seeing the 18 mpg in the city, while I am seeing in the 22/23 range on the highway going about 65. I WAS seeing 16/17 if I was easy on it in the city, and a max of 21 highway. I'm pretty sure I could get higher if I change some things around, but I am happy with the truck's mileage. Sorry to De-rail your topic OP. :/

Has the dealer provided you with an update on the status of your truck, superdutyquest? I'll be happy to step in and assist if needed; just let me know and I'll get to work.
