Hi everyone, I am new to this site but there is a wealth of information and knowledge that I have read already. I have a 1997 F150 Lariat Ext. cab. Has anyone else had the rear slide window leak? Reccomendations on how to fix as I tried to tighten the bolts that hold the window in but nothing. Thanks for the help.
Ford came out with a new gasket to cure the leak. You remove the window and replace the gasket. Your dealer should stock it or be able to order it for you.
I just spoke with Ford parts and they said That the gasket is part of the window and I need to replace the whole thing(sounds like BS to me). Any ideas racerboy?
It is a Technical Service Bulletin that all Ford dealers get sent to them or have access to online.
This one gives instructions on replacing the seal around the window.
It is too long to post it here.
