144 Bellhousing?
I know I would have to build a trans crossmember as mine has the "whale tail" style mount.
My main interest is if I can use a newer automatic with an OD as I will be doing a 4wd conversion on the little pickup and after daily driving it for over a year I know it would benefit from an extra gear.
Thanks for any input.
The closest is the AOD, but it is the SBF pattern, which did not match up to the eary 6, but did match the later 250s and IIRC, the later 200s.
That is an integral bell trans, as are all other OD transmissions in the line up, so you can't swap a bell and make it work like a C4.
This outfit sell adapters for the 6 to the SBF pattern for the T5. You might be able to make one work, but you'll have to figure out the flex plate situation--you might have to make your own.

I have the running motor in the van currently and a fully rebuilt backup, I'm gonna put boost to it and see how much it will take before it blows then dial it down for the replacement motor.
It's just an oddball tinker toy and I'd like to play with forced induction on the little motor to see what it will do, the HORRIBLY designed integral intake is the biggest thing that makes turboing this thing nothing but a laughing matter.
I need to mate a trans that will/can be married to a transfer case, was hoping an auto and Tcase out of a 4 cyl Ranger would work.
