Hey everyone, new to the forum but love it! so much good information to be gleaned here. my 78 seems to be a bit of an odd unit in the mix of options it was built with. Ranger Lariat XLT camper special, tow package and a mix of rarer options. (yes I read all 40 something pages of thread )
but the thing perplexing most is the dual side badges, that and the non catalyist factory config. from 78 and San Jose origin. DSO is 74 indicating dealer order?
I am 3rd owner, bought by longtime friend in 2001 from original owner with 36K odo reading and acquired by me in 08 with 68K odo currently at 72,145. have paperwork backing this up.
The Lariats where missing when I bought and the Ranger is from the drivers side. was it common for Ford to place differing badges?

The F150 "Custom" badge is incorrect. At some point in it's history someone replaced the original badge with an incorrect piece.
The two digit DSO indicates it was part of a stock order and not special ordered.
