installing a locker
I have an 88 f250 5.8l 2wd. I was thinkin of putting a locker in it to help in loose terrain. I dont really care about tire wear because I work at a tire shop. I really dont know how to install it, or how much it costs to buy. But Im one of those do it yourself people and was wondering if anyone had some tips or experiences to share...

Setting up the gears is a precise job. If you don't know exactly what you're doing, you're probably better off letting somebody else set up the gears. You could do everything else though.

It's a tough job, not for someone who hasn't done it before. I highly suggest you let a professional take care of it. As for lockers, there are many. How much do you want to spend?
