What are you guys doing to grease a spindle bearing, d60 4x4?
Is the procedure the same as wheel bearing? Just pack the rollers real good and thats it?
Lastly what are you guys using to remove a steering wheel on these trucks? I took the horn pad off the other day and discovered two unthreaded holes so the standard threaded puller won't work. A jaw puller also doesn't seem like it would work. Need to get it off to rebuild my column.
Yes, just pack the spindle bearing like the wheel bearing. And for the steering wheel, I loosen the bolt and back it out about half way, then put my knees behind the wheel and push it toward me with my legs while I hit the bolt with a large punch and hammer. Most of time they will pop loose after a couple good blows, but depending on how tight somebody tightened the bolt, it may take several. I don't know why, but some of these steering wheels have pull holes and some don't. If yours has holes that aren't tapped, maybe you could run a tap in them and use a puller.
