I noticed a leak under my trunk. The fluid is red in color. Everything is wet with the fluid so it has been hard for me to track down the source. At first I though it was the stabilizer shock, then the front differential but yesterday I took a photo, it looks to be a metal line with a white plastic connection on the driver side attached to the radiator at the bottom?
The coolant is yellow, why would this fluid be red, or is this just spray from the differential? There was a definite larger 'puddle' right under this metal line this AM.
that looks to be the transmission line . I had 2 of them rot on me last year.they go from the cooler to the radiator and I believe one goes to the external filter.Id replace them asap before they blow out while driving.
there are two lines in the front and I would replace them both.Your lucky you caught them now and not while driving. lucky for me mine blew out as I was 1 mile from home and was able to get there before she bleed out.
They aren't too hard , you just need the line disconnect tool. I also replaced the filter assembly and the fitting on the radiator as they also showed signs of rot.
