Rear Inner Seal leaking...

I followed a really nice writeup to do the rear brake shoes and rear seals on my dually. It is great to have a good resource for DIY (newbies) like me. However, my dilemma is that after putting everything back together and taking the truck down the road, I am leaking fluid past the newly installed seals. I don't know what could possibly be wrong, but it is a real pain. I think my breather is fine. Does anyone know if the same part number seal is used for single and dual rear wheel axles? I think I installed the seals correctly - they are snug up against the bearing.

Would really appreciate some help.

Thanks!

what did you torque the spanner nut to upon reassembly?

that torque procedure also seats the seal on the spindle

sounds right, that is odd it is leaking

Ah so both axle seals are leaking. I'm not sure if there is a difference in dual and single rear wheel axle seals, but because both are leaking I would say the odds are somethings wrong with the seals, I know the ones I have used on my srw trucks is a national part number for about 27 bucks 370247A
