I have the same problem on my F250. Anyone know of where to get replacement leaf springs to bring it back to a proper ride height? Of course I want reasonable pricing. No, I don't want to lift it or add springs thus changing the spring rate.
87 F150 When I first noticed this on my pickup I took it to the shop and they checked the ball joints, everything was fine. I went to the Junkyard and got a set of springs from an HD truck. The springs are easy to remove. For a few months the springs looked like they may be a little to big because the front end was a little high but they crunched down and were perfect for many years. I then bought the 3" Rancho lift and installed it, man was that ever nice. Way better ride, I don't know why Ford didn't design the suspension like that with the longer A-arms, far better ride on harsh bumps, off road and highway driving. With the 3" lift I had no problems with shift linkage, brake lines ect... I had to move up to 33X12.50X15 tires, it looks a lot like it did with the 31X10.50X15's it is just bigger. I am really happy with the look and ride. You can't really tell it is lifted if you just glance at it but when you get in it takes a little higher step.
Check out Fab-Tech for 2wd springs. NICE......
4x4's- Any of your buddies putting on lift kits? Barrow (ok) the 2nd or 3rd leaf and slide it in. No Problem.
Then, put on some wide meats. FORD TOUGH!!!

Lots of negative camber. A swing axle suspension goes big time negative camber under compression. But the real kicker is the front springs are "arched" backwards.
on the 250s if im not mistaken, the springs come "upside-down" from the factory, in the front anyhow. flip them and you get like a four-five inch lift.
i put front springs on my 91 last week. i got the coil springs from autozone for $85. It took about 30 minutes to do each side just because i'm slow. Its no big deal at all.

I just looked at the springs on my 88 F-250, they are not upside down.
I to would like the front of my truck to sit 2 to 3 inches higher, if anyone knows of a leveling kit (the rear sits just about write ) for the 250 please post.
I wonder if someone makes an add a leaf or EZ-ride kit for just the front?
There aren't too many manufacturer's out there anymore willing to put their heads on a chopping block. Most have done away with the old thinking of add-leafs and blocks for any vehicles front end. 2 choices: Add a lift kit. OR: Good year poly bags. Both are about the same cost, but the bags are a softer ride, and can be transfered to another rig. They make bags to fit inside of coils and have bags they sell for leafs, that have light duty coils around the bags. Good luck....
