Alan make sure to take plenty of time for recovery. My former boss had colon surgery and it is no joke. Sorry to hear about the health problems.
Thanks. I'm not really a stranger to this. I've had ulcerated colitis for 26 years now. Most of my family has had it and within one or two years, it turns to cancer, so for me to make it 26 years, well let's just say it's not a surprise to finally hear the news. Besides, my wife works in the O.R. where I'm having the surgery and she's already hand picked the entire team to do the surgery. Actually, the two surgeons doing it are friends of mine. I'll be in good hands.
I have to button a few things up at the car lot this morning, then we have our annual get together at Tiff's mom's house. We had to wait until the last second to buy fireworks, so hopefully, there's some good stuff left. We'll get some video for ya' Bob.
In Ford news, I'm looking to trade off the '87 for something more my style. We'll see if everything is as nice as he says it is.
We just got in from the in law's. We blew up around $700 worth of fireworks, including about 250 mortar rounds. With 5-7 people lighting fireworks at a time, our show lasted about an hour.
No major injuries, but I got a SPECTACULAR view of a mortar tube exploding. I was about 6 feet away when it happened. Like I said, no injuries other than a couple minor 1st degree burns. Not bad considering three of us caught a mortar round in the kisser.
nothing near as exciting down here.. son-in-law picked up a few fireworks for kylie (my g-grand daughter) to watch.. they went in the creek to play with my remote control boat earlier.. i havent done a thing..
Thursday night at Downstream Casino for Little Big Town (Penny loves their music) concert, then tried to take some of the casinos money, I got away with a little. Stayed in Joplin for...
Fri at her sisters all day in the pool, and then big family cook out, followed by her surprise b day party. We caught her totally off guard it was her mile stone B day, so we had a fun time. Then fire works, for all the grand kids.
Home way late last night, packing today for tomorrows flt to Nashville Tn for a weeks stay at the Opery Land Hotel for her other B day surprise. The trip is one of her presents, cause she loves that place.
Sounds like you all did pretty well. Sucked here, some chicken and corn on the cob grilled. Inside the rest of the day.
Rich it sounds like you and Penny are having a good time. We'll be in Gatlinburg Tn tomorrow late afternoon. Don't know how far the is from where you two are going to be.
Tires are balanced on the truck, yard to get cut and trimmed, truck is getting babied inside and out, and a couple of coats of RainEx on the windshield. Planning on taking off by 10am tomorrow morning. Should be a nice time. Cabin has hot tub and swimming pool, fishing at Douglas Lake at the bottom of the hill.
Hope everyone had a great 4th! I should be heading out today for my Colorado trip. We had issues with plane tickets a few days back!
Alan, as I said on FB, I am speachless, words don't even come to mind that would express diddly....:-(
Alan, I should be back Friday , not sure if your done with the wiring on Bandit. Haven't been on in a few days. I should be back Thursday night. I could be there sometime Friday if its ready, or even if it isn't.
Red has been working as of late. Going to use him to move some crap around the yard today as well. Earning his keep I guess you could say. My s10 just doesn't have a big enough bed!
Jeff. I thought I could just weed out the computer stuff and put the harness in, but it turns out I'll have to do it wire by wire like the rest of it was. I've been making progress, but it's slow. I'll try to have it done by the end of the week.
Rich. That's awesome! Penny's milestone b-day? She finally turned 30? Have a safe trip and a great time in Nashville.
Bob. You too. Safe travels. You and Rich will be about 2 1/2 hours away from each other.
Well Alan ,I'm curious about this "Horse". And remember Pictures if you get it.
Rich' if we're not too far apart, holler and we'll see about getting together. But I understand that you and Penny are "Getting away" too.
Bear has had a bath, tires balanced, three were out of balance (I have a sensitive azz) Inside the cab, RainEx, and dress the tires, and clean wheels, so he can get dirty by the time we get to Tn.
