MB 2 is open with bridge construction near junction of hwy 256. I don't know what kind of shape it's in though. MB 5 is closed north of MB 2 to Spruce Woods if that's in your travel plans.
The Assiniboine still isn't back in its banks in Brandon yet I don't think, although it's not too far off. There is a lot of water on the south side of the river bank still, whether it's technically standing water now or is still over the riverbank is tough to tell.
I've seen a few pictures on facebook where fields are wet enough still that combines are getting stuck. That's down in the SW corner where the land is a bit heavier. I was talking to dad earlier today, he's been helping a bit with a neigbour's harvest, and there's still water in places that would have been seeded in a normal year.
If you go east of Brandon out towards Carberry, I've heard the water table isn't a foot below surface. If it stays there, and we have a heavy snowfall (I don't know what the winter forecast is for snowfall) there will be a lot of unseeded acres again next year.
