Has any one done a one piece glass conversion on an '80's model F series?
I'm keen to do one on two trucks, one has a two inch top chop and I'm thinking Toyota Rukus windows might fit. The other is a standard height turret.
Would E350?450 one piece glass fit? has anyone tried this conversion?
The brace is not a problem, we have added corner inserts that end up nearly half way to where the bailey channel used to be. The bailey now sits in the corner insert. The corner insert also acts as the mirror mount.
I took some photos of an e350, mid 90's I think, at Dallas airport on a trip to the States. It had one piece glass and the window frames looked the same. It had a corner insert about the same place as I've put mine on the chopped turret. We can finesse the insert to suit.
Just want to know if anyone has done this before I import some door glass.
If I can figure out how I used to post photos I'll get them up.
Yes, it has been done, but you need to add quite a bit of structure to the door. look up SPORTTRUK on here. He has yellow truck that he chopped the top, lengthened the cab/frame and used late 90s Ranger windows in
