How to include Pictures in Threads?

I'd like to be able to put pictures in my threads but I can't seem to do it.
Best I have been able to do is put a link to pictures on photobucker, but that takes you to a different site to view the pics.

I set up an acct on photobucket and added some pics.
I open a pic and right-click on it.
Then I select "Copy Image" from the drop-down list.
Then I go to a thread I am posting, and click in the body of the thread and right-click and select "Paste".

But it will not insert my picture into the body.

I can do this same procedure and successfully insert the same pictures in Word docs or in Emails.

What is the trick?

@photobucket are you open to "your bucket" ?
Are you clicking on one of your pics so it opens to the larger image ?

If this is not working for you I have no idea why this is not working for you .. It works here just fine ..

An alternative .. If you look at the top of the "Quick reply" block for making a post right under "message" choose the symbol for picture 2nd from right .. It will open to a new block where at the bottom it says paste URL .. From your photobucket "your bucket" page below each picture you will see a bunch of addresses or links .. left click on "direct" .. It should turn blue .. Right click on blue area and left click on "copy" from the drop down .. Now in the area mentioned before in your post "paste your url" right click and from the drop down left click on "paste" and then choose "insert"

Copy the links to share, looks like a link of chains, than click the IMG link, it should be the last one on the list of things to copy and copy it and than past it to the page

Here is what I did:
  1. Start new thread
  2. Open separate Internet Explorer window.
  3. Log into my photobucket acct.
  4. Go to my library (which shows thumbnails of all the pics in that library
  5. Click on one of the thumbnails, which opens the pic (larger view of the pic)
  6. Right-click on the pic, which displays a drop-down menu.
  7. Select "Copy" from the list (by left-clicking "copy").
  8. Go back to my New Thread in the separate Internet Explorer window,
  9. Right-click in the body of the thread.
  10. Choose "Paste" from the drop-down menu.

That's everything I do and the only thing that appears in the body is the link to the pic in my photobucket library.
I just performed the above and below is what was inserted immediately when I selected "Paste" from the drop-down menu.

Why won't the actual picture get inserted as opposed to a link that a reader then has to click on to see the picture?

Ryan - the following is what was pasted following your instructions:

Following is what happens when I press the "Insert Image" icon using the tools above the body box. I then copy/paste the string in the "Direct" option under the "Links to share this photo".

It looks like either of these two options is working.

I'll try it again on next thread - coming in a couple minutes.

Glad everything worked, if doing it from mobile use mine it's a lot simpler
