I just bought a 1966 Ford F100 Custom Cab Ranger and was surprised to find that it has a Warner T18 4-speed manual transmission. I was expecting a New Process NP435 like in my other truck. Why did Ford offer two different 4-speed transmissions? Without creating a controversy, is one considered better than the other?
