II Want to start with saying that you guys! Your awesome, I've posted so many questions lately and your all right there within a few hours to help.

So here's my question, I've been looking into how to do a c notch or step notch on my f1 and after doing some measurements on my own set up I'm not entirely sure I need one. If I do I think it might just be a small c notch.
Here is a few pictures I took today while measuring. The frame was level front to back. Also the front is compressed all the way down to its bump. My plan is to use bags the rear picture is on or close to axle centerline.

I cant tell anything really by those measurements. I mocked up my suspension and with 3 1/2" clearance from the frame I am as low as I want to go for ride height. I am going to try and not run a notch.

II plan to run a triangulated 4 link and I want to be able to set it down as low as the jag ifs will let me. The picture of the front is as high as the stock jag suspension will compress. The second is with the frame level front to rear where my frame is in comparison to the front.with the air bags I'm planning on using I think it will limit the front out an inch or so higher so higher than the picture. Now my rear will limit out on the stock frame rails a little bit before the front. I'm thinking a small 2 or 3 inch notch will be adequate but just wanted to see what everyone else thinks.

On a side note do you know about how low the jag will let the running boards sit off the ground at full compression? I don't think the jag is capable of laying the boards out, just wondering how close it will get.

Thanks for all your help man. Your jag welding info helped a lot.

With coil springs there is supposed to be 6 inches suspension travel in the jag IFS, so 3" up and 3" down, but with bags and the lower suspension limiter removed you would probably have to make your own bumpstops to keep the bag from over compressing.
Better to mock all this stuff up than guess IMO. I would put it all together and see what you are dealing with before making decisions, learned that the hard way many builds ago.
Glad my thread is helping, I know it will help me on the next truck build which is coming quickly.
