Removing "Camper Special" Script

I'm just starting to prepare my truck for a paint job. Anyhow, today I'm taking trip off. I don't intend to remove the front clip or anything but I want to prepare it as well as I can. How do I remove the "Camper Special" script which is just forward of the doors on each side? It looks like it will pop off if I pry it carefully but how is it attached? Will I be able to get it back on if I pop it out? Thanks.

Use a 1 1/2" putty knife & a piece of cloth to protect the paint.

The script has pins that insert into barbed fittings in the holes. Be very careful you don't break off the pins, the whole thing is made out of pot metal.

If you will go behind the fender, on the back side, and tap the little pins with a small hammer, they will release to where you can pull the label off by hand and not break anything.
