OEM CD Changer- Modulator-Ford

I would like to install an AIWA aftermarket radio in my 99 Expedition but am having a very difficult time finding a wiring harness to adapt the OEM CD Changer to this AIWA. I have visited several audio stores and was told that an RF Modulator would work, I can't find one locally. Would this RF Modulator save me from getting rid of the CD Changer?

I'm not overly familiar with these but I seem to remember there being "generic" aftermarket modulators that would work with any combo. I guess it depends on what the OEM changer uses. I know with my 97 SHO it used a Sony changer as the factory unit.

I'd check crutchfield.com, maybe give them a call.

www.peripheral-aamp.com makes integration harnesses as well as www.pie.net

Crutchfield handles both kinds but you can find them at a lot of other places on the net with even better prices.

Thanks, Willie I got a reply from a reply from crutchfield and they broke the news. I am not able to install my aftermarket (AIWA) without loosing the cd changer.

I will try these sites.
