New Guy Saying hi

I've been viewing this site for 3 years now, and just signed up to say hi. I've got a 2005 v10 excursion. After three years of ill handling, I just purchased new V/B springs, shocks, and adjustable track bar. Got the 30mm rear sway bar as well. UPS just dropped off a set of used 2004 SD 18" rims. Having them all sent out to get remanufactured for piece of mind, as my wife drives the kids around in it. Hopefully within the next month all parts will be to me and installed, I'm really looking forward to it.
Next year probably gonna regear to 4.30, then it should be done, but if its anything like my r/c trucks, there's always something to upgrade...

Welcome! I lurked around this site for a while before I signed up too, once I bought my SD, I signed up. Then I lurked the Excursion section for a while, hoping things would pan out for me to get an Ex for a project- hasn't panned out yet (VA disability pay and all) but ended up posting here somewhat regularly anyway. Definately one of my favorite Internet destinations...

Welcome to the forum!
I see that we are already helping you spend your money. Looking forward to before and after pics of your EX and could you provide more info on the wheel remanufacture process? I'm a big fan of those '04 18"s.

Well, here she is.

Most of the parts are here. Forgot to get the bracket for dual shocks up front. I'll get that coming next week.

30 mm sway bar from F350.
Also got new sway bar links and bushings for front and rear. That pic was too boring. Debating now just getting stainless brake lines and doing it all at once and being done with it.

As far as the rims getting remanned, I couldn't tell you what they do, I know they are guarenteed to be like new in apperance and function...better be for $300 a piece...

Modded B's, bilsteins and 30mm sway bar installed. Gained 2.5" in rear. Rides significantly better, can't wait till the front is done.

I'm real happy with how this is turning out, so let me know if i am too annoying, and I'll buzz off.

I'm looking for sugestions on tire size, I'm thinking 285/65r18 or 275/65r18...any comments or suggestions for me. Wheels should be done next week, but im going on vacation, so once I get them I'll post before and after pics.

Also, I have a rancho steering stabilizer free to a good home if someone wants it. Don't have the number handy, but it doesn't fit an '05, and is brand new.

Wait, you paid $300 for each wheel to be remaned?!? Why didn't you just buy new wheels for that kind of money?
