what year 302 is it? what heads are you using? i ran a 750 dp on my built 440 and it was just about perfect for it. like everyone else said that carb is overkill. might actually be robbing some horses seems like a 600 or so carb may be better suited and with different jetting allow for room to grow with more engine upgrades. the disc brakes probably added an extra 40 hp
