wheel spacers?

I'm going to put my 36" tires back in my truck and add a 4in lift.
It never rubbed my fenders, but the right wheel would catch my right front leaf spring. Do you guys think it would be okay to run a a 1 or 2" spacer?
I don't haul very often, but I do have the strongest truck in my group of people. Most I've hauled so far is a 10k load.

If you use aftermarket rims, you should not need spacers. They set the tire farther out than the stock rim does.

Spacers open up another can of worms, requiring longer studs.

I have aftermarket rims, I didn't buy a custom offset though.

I meant the spacers with new studs on them, not a big washer.

It's weird that it catches only on the one side. You might want to take the pitman arm loose from the drag link, and find the center of the steering box. You do that after the drag link is loose by turning the steering wheel all the way till it stops one direction, count the number of turns till it stops in the other direction, and then divide that and put it in the middle. Don't pay any attention to your steering wheel position during this.

With it in the middle, try to put the drag link back in place. If it's way off, you can adjust both tie rod ends a equal number of turns so the toe won't be messed up, but this will move the drag link till it will mate up with the pitman arm.

This may help with your rubbing problem, or it may make it rub in both directions. But it needs to be checked and made right, the steering box is made to be tighter in the center position for a better road feel, and looser on either side for easier parking lot steering.

You may want to wait till you get the lift in place before you check all this. A 4 in lift will come with a new dropped pitman arm.
