Thank you all for the pics. I'm going to work on that spot on each side and see what it does for me. Pete, I don't have that tube you show in the pic but I'm going to check and see if that open square is blocked off. And yes I took the heater out and closed all that up. I didn't have a block of valve in one of the hoses so the hot coolant kept the heater hot at all times....didn't want that radiating inside the cab and I never use heat anyway. Very hot natured.
Wayne, your truck looks pretty nice and I'm sure yours doesn't have this but just in case note the rust through in my first picture (https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...l#post14465913). Those holes gave significant hot air into the cab and were behind the fender where you couldn't easily see them.
Thanks Pete. Yeah I don't have any rust there. I stuck my fingers up in there and ran them around and didn't lose any digits or bleed all all over the place.
I made plates to fill the front corners of my cab, spot welded them in and then sealed with seam sealer. I have my PCM in the cab around that area on the passengers side and didnt want any chance of water coming in the cab.
