1994 F 150 Auto Trans Jerking Low Speed
I have a 1994 F 150 straight 6 with auto trans. It has 84,000 miles
In recent years it has jerked rather badly when shifting at lower speeds.
I had electrical work done on it several months ago (radio replaced). When I got it back the transmission shifted very smoothly.
After a while it started jerking again.
I read on line where a guy stated when he discounted the battery the jerking went away on his 1994 F 150.
I tried that today. No jerking
I am not a repair person and do not understand how this could fix the jerking problem
Looking for a long term fix.
Any Ideas or suggestions would be appreciated.

The transmission is 100% electronic controlled. By disconnecting the battery you have cleared the stored codes and reset the computer back to default settings. More than likely your issue will return. Check for codes, if you get the System Pass code of 111/111 for KOEO and CM then drive the truck for awhile and recheck.
