Hi all. In just wondering who has a f250/350 supercab. I'm intreasted in getting one for my landscaping business. It seems in my area that's what allt of companies do. Although there's are diesel. I haven't decided diesel or gas yet thought.
Let's stay away from the gas diesel topic and stick to cab choices... If you want to weigh gas vs diesel do everyone a favor and search don't post. There are millions of threads and they always get crazy.
Cab choices! Unless its just you every time I would stay away from regular cabs. Personal preference.
Super cabs are nice for a little protected storage or seating for leprechauns. Most adults find the rear seat less than pleasant. Good for a small mobile office if needed. Also, super cab short bed is the shortest wheel base available. Nice for turning and if you're just towing a small to medium landscape trailer you don't need to worry about wheel base too much.
Crew cabs. My favorite! Lots of space. Rear seats are roomy (especially in later model years) and wheel base ranges from reasonable to long.

im not going to get into that i think ill be fine with gas without the extra 9k upfront, its between super and crew, ill have pople with my from time to time but most of the time itll just be me and or a friend
I have a Supercab that I really like. As often as I have the back loaded with stuff, I dont know how I would ever use a Regular Cab. That being said, its great for one or two people, but the backseat really is limited to children, dogs, or small adults. When the Mrs. and I have folks over and I drive, usually the wives sit in the back as anyone over 5' 8" or so isnt comfortable in the back.
I think the main problem is the upright seating position, if you could have the seatback slightly reclined as opposed to a 90, without compromising leg room, it would be much more comfortable.
If you ever plan on taking more than 1 other (average size) person any distance, go crew cab. If you just want a place to put stuff, SC will be just fine.
You notice the shorter wheel base of the super cab vs the crew cab with the same length bed. The super cab turns quite a bit tighter but has a rougher ride. My dad has the same truck as mine but his is a CC so I have seat time in both.
The little doors on the super cab can make some noise due to cab flex when offroad or on bumpy roads but it is nothing too awful. In the rust belt the lower doors can rust below the seal. The plastic ford running boards will help keep salt and crap out of the door bottom unlike the chrome aluminum ones on my truck.
The little back seat is ok for smaller people and comes in handy to put stuff. My dog likes sitting on the back seat.
If you get the gas truck I HIGHLY recommend opting for the 4.30 gears.
If you're not hauling people take the back seat out and have plentiful storage. I've had both and with my landscape business I'm not sure it made a difference. I will say that if I have 3 or 4 guys with me the crew cab is much nicer, for them at least.

How do you take the back seat out? I get the bottom part just not the back.
The seat back of the rear seat in the supercab is hung on. There is a wire frame in the seat back that goes into the bracket on the truck. You slide the seat back upward to pull it out of the brackets.
Dealer told me that in my area (california) a SuperCab with an 8' bed is a special order only combination, as he just can't sell them. Whatever.
Agreed - the back seat is more useless than the back seat in my '94 SuperCab, though the suicide doors are great. The seat folds up against the back, it can come out but so far I've just used it folded up and am fine with it.
These guys have some food advise. I prefer super cabs because I don't have kids and my truck is just a work truck. I have a nicer vehicle for hauling people. Also IMO it is much easier to see out of the back window when backing.

That is one of the reasons I went with a regular cab. I have the bronco and van for family trips, but the kids know they don't ride in my truck unless it is in the bed
I've had both.
The 2011 was a SCSB and the 2014 I have now is a CCSB. The 142" WB had a harsher, more choppy ride over rough pavement & bumps than the 156" WB does. The SC turned tighter obviously.
I initially got the SC because it would fit in the garage, but after having the CC I prefer it. It's so much easier to get to the back seat, especially if you're parked in tight quarters and need to put stuff in the back. Open the driver's door, squeeze in, open the rear door, etc. Having people ride in back is easier, I don't have to drive with the seat pulled up to the dashboard or the back at a 90* angle.
I love my Crew cab, tonz and tonz of rear space. My dogs love the back seat(two great danes). My only complaint is the turning radius is pretty crappy, two point turns in a supercab are four point turns in a crew...
I was doing building maintenance for a while and used a GMC crew cab. I got rid of the back seat, modified a work-van cage to separate the cab, leveled the rear floor and put a pair of bins in the middle of the back facing each rear door. It was like having the best of both worlds- a van and a truck, without taking up bed space for a tool box...
i love my super cab as i rarely haul more than myself or another, plus my wife has a 150 supercrew, i had a crew 350 took alot more space to park and turn around , my back seat is mostly storage and junk , if hauling people get a crew cab if not pick ur poison and enjoy it . both my trucks current and previous are 8 ft beds as i wont own a 6 ft bed. either way it takes 2 parking spaces to keep it out of the isle .
