Steering Nightmare
I was driving and lost all brakes and steering at a busy four way stop. Lucky it was 4:00 A.M. no traffic was out because I blew thro red light. investagated first then replaced pump. Steering was good for a very short time brakes did not improve. I replaced hydroboost, was pulling out for test drive and lost brake pedal. Got out and found a brake pad on the ground next to my rear tire. (No prior brake problems or noises to indicate problems.) I replaced rotors and pads bled all brakes again.(First time was when I replaced hydroboost bled steering and brakes.) I have better brakes than when I first bought my truck a year ago. steering is still no good at all I can barley turn the wheel moving at a stop its impossible and I am not a small guy. I checked for leaks everywhere thro the brake and steering system all looks good. I bled the steering again by jacking front of truck off ground, pulled the return line to the hydroboost and turned side to side for a good ten minutes. No changes.????????????????? I am thinking another pump since it was great for a min after replacing first time???? SUGGESTIONS PLEASE!!!!
