Code p0430
Hi how every one doing ? I just bought an 05 Expedition 5.4L 3v 4x2 180k miles, truck run extremely smooth, gas miles is normal, it does having that ford tick at low rpm , I drove 600 miles trip couple day ago and add a bottle of chevron fuel injector cleaner , today the CEL came on and I pull the code, show up 4 code, all show p0430 . Any idea ? the truck run fine and smooth at the moment, should I be fixing this problem right away ?

Driver's side exhaust manifold. Look for broken studs that allow exhaust leaks past the gasket between the manifold and the head.
If there is no exhaust leak there, then there is a strong chance that the catalytic converter on that side is dead. More diagnostics will need to be done before reaching that conclusion, though.

I havent check yet, but let say if the exhaust manifold bolt broke, how much the shop charge to fix that, also if it is the catalytic is plug up or dead, how much for the shop to put in new one ?
can I drive with 1 bad catalytic ? I really busy lately and cant take to the shop until 2-3 more week.

I see some steam coming out for 2-3 second when I first crank in the morning, then the steam dissappear . Worth to let you guy know.
anyway to complete test if o2 or cat are bad ? I dont want replace part that is not bad.

Could be a bad head gasket on that side. That would cause both the steam out the exhaust and throw the catalyst out of range.

Bank 2 is the driver's side. Bank 1 is always the side with the #1 cylinder, which in this case is on the passenger side.
