I have a question on my '00 7.3. Cruise control just quit working. From reading the threads/forums I have gotten some ideas, but how about no dash light when turning the key to on? Nothing with the self test also. How can I troubleshoot the switch in the steering wheel? I could also have a bulb out in the cluster, but either way- no cruise function. Any ideas?

Don't think the diesels had that light for your year.
To test for a faulty switch on the MC, unplug its connector, inspect for fluid leakage first. If no leak is found, check the switch for continuity, replace if open. If continuiuty test passes or is ambiguous, unplug the recall harness (if present) from the vehicle harness. Install a jumper (paper clip, etc) into the two pins of the connector on the vehicle side and carefully test speed control operation. If that works, the switch is bad (open). Replace it and the recall harness.
I have ordered a new cruise control switch for the master cylinder, I will start there.
Ok, new switch is installed. Old switch was wet inside the connector. Never could get a cruise control self-diagnostic to work. Cruise working again.
Question:
Is the pigtail that comes with the Motorcraft SW-6350 fused and replacing the ford recall pigtail, or do I still need to order a new recall pigtail with the fuses?
