Tonneau cover recommendations

I am thinking about getting a tri-fold tonneau cover for my short bed F-250. I have not had one of these before but I like the idea of being able to keep things secure in the bed of the truck or open it for access to the bed. I have looked at the Bakflip fibermax cover but I was wondering if anyone here could make any recommendations on any other brands or types of covers? Thanks for your input!

I have no experience with the folding covers, but I do really like the Pace Edwards Jackrabbit on my truck. It is retractable and has a locking position every 12". It mounts almost flush with the top of the bed rails. The only drawback I can see for some people is that the can takes a little over 6" of the front of the bed.

LOVE my Extang Trifecta Had it on my 09 250 and now my 350. So easy and quick to open and close and can be completely removed in 30 seconds. One of my all time fav accessories...

This the one I have used for my last two trucks. Simple design and economical, it works and has durability. My current Truxedo is over 3.5 years old and still looks good and functions like new.

Roll n Lock sucked. Always froze shut. Have had Bakflip F1 for three years and absolutely love it.

I have the Back Flip VP and I love it. It stays very dry, it looks real nice and its locked when the tailgate is locked. I also installed a Pop and Lock tail gate lock so the bed is always secure when the doors are locked.

I have this one also and I'm pretty happy with it. I was always set on hard covers, the Extang Trifecta was suggested to me at 1/2 the price of a hard cover so I gave it a try. I would recommend it.

I had the PE Jack Rabbit on my Dodge 1500 several years ago and loved it. I liked the ability to lock it every 12 inches.

I'm also looking for a tonneau cover for my new truck. I'm not committed to the JR. After a search here, I really like the looks of the BAK RollX.

How hard was the pop and lock to install? I have been looking at one of those also.

ive had snap covers , a extang trifold soft cover, extang solid fold but my favorite is the extang encore its low profile you can access the front which i like because i have a storage bin where i keep my towing stuff. it comes with a lock that you can set to use your factory truck key to lock and unlock. in the rear it has a pull cable across which you just pull down to release and fold. and when folded the whole thing can be lifted off and set aside and installs back just as easy

3rd truck with a Truxedo LoPro QT. I wouldn't have bought 3 if I didn't love them. Easy to roll up, easy to completely remove, best bang for your buck. Don't like hard covers, never had a security issue with these, out of sight, out of mind.

I've got a toolbox, so I purchased the Extang Solid Fold for Toolbox equipped trucks. Love it

Had a RollNLock on my truck when I bought it so I pulled it off and sold it. Up here it froze up the lock all the time in the winter.

I now have a FibreMax on it which I like. Brother and father both have BakFlips too. I used to sell them. For security you need a hard cover. I had a Trifecta fabric cover on my F150 and it was fine to cover the box but only as secure as someone not having a knife with them. The SolidFold can also be broken into by pulling up on a corner and breaking the spring clamps.

Encore is a nice cover but I wanted the low profile of the Bak and being able to store it against the cab. I removed the straps and clips from my Undercover Flex display and installed them on my Bak so I can just click those in to hold it flat rather than using bungies.
