Dump HPOP question

[What does it pump or diesel. Yes diesel is an oil does it pump diesel?
Reason i ask is i am replacing the o rings $1.01 each at international. While it is draining i see motor? Draining out of the ports. Is this an indication there is other issues?

HPOP is a high pressure oil pump, that pumps motor oil (not diesel fuel) at high pressure, which is used to fire off your diesel fuel injectors.

Another ? Why was fuel consumption so high 1/4 tank for 10 miles did it just dump the fuel into the cylinders? Oil level is ok i do not see where oil has dropped that much
I assume i will need and oil change now correct?

Diesel usage wouldn't have anything to do with the hpop. Are you sure you didn't blow a braided fuel line?

O ya blew sprayed onto the hpop and was bouncing off. Kinda glad it did thefittings on hpop where loose and leaking the return hose is shot drivers side pass side is not much better so trying to find replacements online now

I think riffraff has the braided fuel lines. I know they have the high pressure oil lines. You can send Clay an email or call if you can't find them on his site.

I believe I have my fuel lines in the shop if you would like. I converted to electric fuel so have no need for them. Of course no guarantees, they had 150k on them, but didn't leak at all.
