I am really hoping that my insterment cluster in not working because my alternator went out at the same time. I really hope they are connected somehow. I really need a wiring diagram for this one. Just got the truck last week and have been taking care of the little things to get it fixed up and make it my own. my new rear step bumper came in today. I will be droping off the the alternator for a rebuild tomorrow. So if someone has a wiring diagram? iamdawntreader@gmail.com
I don't have access to all the schematics for these trucks but someone who does would probably need a little more information. What year is the truck and is it the F250?

Yes sir....03 f250 5.4L 4 speed automatic. No power windows or locks none of that stuff. BUT after reading the forum for hours last night I have found several occasions where the alternator has effected gauges as it has mine. Fingers crossed I will have my alternator rebuilt sometime within a week and find out for sure.
My hat is off to you for supporting local business for a rebuild instead of going to Autozone for a Chinese Reman unit that would probably crap out on you next week...
OK...new alternator in place and still no gauges and I am only getting 11.56v at the batt while truck is running. I had to come to work directly after I installed the alternator. I will do the fuse check when I get home tonight. (I work 2nd shift) Any thoughts or input will be apriciated...
Rickey - it sure seems like something is wrong with either the alternator or the wiring. While it is running you should be able to measure about 14 volts at the battery. It's not charging..

No it is not charging...I have been reading the forum a lot. I do have a lot of play in the column shifter. I am going to check for ANY blown fuses first then the wiring in and around the shifter. The rebuild kit for the shifter came today so now I can take it all apart and inspect everything up close.
