2000 explorer
My buddy has a gremlin in the window dept. Limited edition, if that matters, and both driver side and passenger side only work intermittingly however when the drivers door is opened they work fine. Kinda weird seeing him open door while cruising down fwy 
I`m thinking a short somewhere but I will defer to the pros here.Thoughts?

I agree. That is most likely where the problem lies.
