91 F250 302 Cam Problems
I have a 91 f250 with a 5.0L 302 EFI that I got from my grandfather. He replaced the stock cam with a racing cam from a BOSS 302. It drives just fine but at an idle, the tach goes up and down like its searching for the idle. I was told an aftermarket cam can't be put in an EFI? Also does anyone know if I can take the ECU and harness out of a equal year mustang with 5.0L to fix the idle? I really don't want to put the stock cam back in if I don't have to...Any ideas would help

Nonsense. That racing cam is just way too wild for a stock truck EFI system but you don't have to go back to stock, put a Comp 31-255-5 or Crane 444232 in it and you will still have more power than stock but it will idle normally.

Thanks, I didn't think there was much I can do to change it with the current cam. I'm not too concerned about a power upgrade at the moment, I just want it to run right lol.
