Shackle pins 1952 f1

I just ordered some pins to rebuild the shackles on the front of my f1. The original pins were splined into the shackle plate. The new pins do not have splines. Are all the reproduction pins made without splines? Any issue using the repop parts?

The reproduction pins I purchase were not splined like the original either. Change the pins out about a year ago and have not had any issues.

I should clarify, the spline is only on the first 3/8" of the pin closest to the head. i used my air hammer to drive the pin out of the shackle plate.

i will get some photos.

I don't recall any splines. I think that part 7 from the below LMC drawing is what you mean?

Gentleman,
Yes the pins are splined like wheel lug studs. If I can locate the old pins I'll provide a picture.

i just got back in town from NOLA on vacation.

here is a picture of the pins that came out of the shackle end only.

now that it is loaded, i can see how bad this photo is. anyway you can see the impression that the pin left inside the shackle

everything i got from mac's is not splined.

Appears someone before you installed incorrect pins.

Pictures help, thanks. Maybe someone else knows better but IMHO I don't think that it makes much difference. The only thing that is not symmetrical about that part is the grease hole. I think that lube can get through wherever it is pointed.

As for those pins being worn they are not too bad. Here is a picture of bad:
