I am sure this has been discussed before...
I have a 2003 Ranger 4.0L, Manual, 4x4, 4:10 gears. I am going to drive across the country from NC to CA. I want to drive as much as possible without shipping. Will I be able to tow a vehicle behind it (2012 Ford Focus SE at roughly 3000lbs)? Which would be the best option, trailer or car dolly?
good point senix - uhaul has some odd rules about it ---
before we got our utility trailer,
tried to rent from uhaul with the wife's 2013 explorer and they said no...
it can't be the tow vehicle because of the fake 'tire fiasco' years ago
I went down the street to their competitor and rented one !
Going from NC to Californy you might see if you can buy a used tow dolly somewhere, then sell it when you get where you're going.
I gave up on U-don't-Haul a long time ago.
