Building a 07 King Ranch
I recently bought a 07 King Ranch for a parts truck.After looking the 2 trucks it will be easier to make my 04 into the parts truck. Plus I want a 4x4. I only paid $700 for the 07. Its motor is blown & the seats are gone but it has half the mileage of my truck. I plan to use my motor with a egr delete,Bulletproof oil cooler,ARP headstuds & the new high pressure oil pump that is on the 07 motor. It should be a lot easier to install these parts with the motor out of the truck. I will post updates & pics once I get started

So your going to change the oil rails?
I am not sure but will you also have to change the rocker boxes?
But with the engine out it will be a lot easer to do all the work.
Might also want to swap the intake manifold and turbo & mount.
Having the newer HPOP will get rid of the blown plug problem.
Sounds like a fun project. Can't want to see the photos.

I plan to use the 07 intake & EGR cooler. The cooler has the EGR delete installed. While I have it out in the open I want to make sure I update the oiling. I have a new high pressure oil pump in the 07 motor.That saves me a few coins. I'm using the 04 turbo. The 07 doesn't have one & the 04 turbo is bigger. I'm not sure about the rocker boxes. I have the 07 ones if I need them. I will have my mechanic do any work I don't have experience in doing. He likes the 6.0 & thinks it is a good motor. Its all he drives
