Here's the scoop... 1984 Bronco with a newly rebuilt '72 stock 351w. All new parts (ie. water and fuel pumps ect.). I have had 3 tomco rebuilt 2bbl stock carbs on it in the last 3 months. They have all worked great for 50-100 miles, then the motor starts to backfire and run-on. It also studders and hesitates at low RPM's when warm. It idles great in park but hardly at all in drive with brake depressed when warm. Should I spring for a 4 bbl intake and carb? Vac. problem? Fuel pump pressure to high? The dwell and time are dead on. Please help

Changing from stock is only going to make it harder to diagnose. Fix it first, and then look at upgrades. If you spend money to go to a 4bbl, you're only going to be more frustrated when it doesn't work.
