I have a 1977 f-150 witha 351m, auto, 2wd. I went through the engine-new gaskets, clean up, whatever, but left all fuel and electrical alone. The engine does turn over but discovered the carb isn't getting fuel. I checked the line to the fuel pump, nothing. I am running dual tanks, but undid the line at the rear tank and blew some air through to the front. I tried starting at each step but still no fuel. Any ideas?
prime the carb yourself and get it to fire off a few times and if it doesn't have its own fuel by the 4th or 5th time you prime it then its time to really check it out....also it may sound dumb but it happens to the best of us... did you put the fuel lines on the fuel pump the right way?

The way this fuel pump is, there is only one way to hook up the lines. I must add that this truck was sitting for quite a few years and was reading last night that it just might take a bit for the fuel to make its way to the front. On the other hand, guys were mentioning about putting the fuel pump lever over the cam lobe when it is supposed to go underneath. Had mor time to research last night before I posted. Will bea little bit before I can get back to the truck though. Thanks for the reply.
