Drove my '04 6 liter today and discovered that the **** that controls the direction the flows thru the dash didn't make any change when I moved it. The air continues to blow just out the defrost vents, any ideas?? fuse ?thanks in advance. This truck does NOT have the vacuum water valve on the heater hose, why would that be?
There is a rubber 90 that turns down near the hard a/c lines on the passenger side. That line is where I usually disconnect and plug when I have front hub leak problems.
well I plugged the vacuum line on the passenger side, and I still had just the defrost working, so I tried down on the frame rails by the wheels. So then I tried switching the 4wd selector and then I had the air coming out of different places. After a couple of min. it goes back to the defrost. Does replacing the stock Ford Vacuum hubs with Ford NON Vacuum Hubs, make a difference?
all fixed up now, I eliminated the vacuum solenoid for the hubs. Since I changed to the non-vacuum hubs, that valve is $128.00 bucks at the Ford dealer in town here...Canada
