Here's the scoop... 1984 Bronco with a newly rebuilt '72 stock 351w. All new parts (ie. water and fuel pumps ect.). I have had 3 tomco rebuilt 2bbl stock carbs on it in the last 3 months. They have all worked great for 50-100 miles, then the motor starts to backfire and run-on. It also studders and hesitates at low RPM's when warm. It idles great in park but hardly at all in drive with brake depressed when warm. Should I spring for a 4 bbl intake and carb? Vac. problem? Fuel pump pressure to high? The dwell and thim are dead on. Please help

If you can afford it. Go for the 4bbl. That is always better. I dont think you will run into any problems. As for vaccuum problems. You shouldn't have any problems. If you need more lines, you can get a T connector to hook into one of your existing vacuum lines and will work great.
4bbl will most always give you better gas mileage. (If you can keep your foot out of it.) Power gain and ability to pass someone when needed is well worth the extra money.
