Question two ?s for you guys!

I know this question has been asked thousands of times, but I just havn't been on the computer lately because of my job, storms that flood my basement, and lots of driving to theme parks with my friends, ahh lots of fun!! except I get this heat from the vents when I'm moving,(hot air) and its really irritating. sorry for two questions in one but how do I fix this heat problem?
and also I'm really looking into headers and I would like to know what results you all have found performance and sound wise!
Thanks for all your help! I really appriciate it!

Is your temp control set to "heat?" If it is, some heat will emanate from the vents even if the fan is off. If not, it sounds like your heater control valve is stuck open. When you move the temp control lever, does it feel like it is attached to anything? The cable could have come off, and then it would not be moving the heater control valve when you change the temp setting.

headers are great and easy to install yourself with basic tools. jba, gibson, bassini are all nice and from what ive heard work great. I was a cheap **** and went the summit header route, they work great only thing was i used the gaskets that came with the headers. big mistake because they leak bigtime. so if you go that route be sure to spend the doe and get a good set of header gaskets they run around $30 but well worth it.
