AS for the Motor I got the Haynes Tech book Diesel Engine repair manual. HAynes 10330 Then I got Ford Pick-ups and Bronco Repair manual 1980-1996 for things on the truck. (gas engine only in this book) Haynes 36058 Got them both from O Riley auto parts.
Plain-old shop towels are a lot cheaper, and contain just as much useful inormation. Get the FSMs; eBay.
i have to agree with this one. get the factory service manual. about the only thing those aftermarket books are good for is lining the bottom of a bird cage.

The diesel book has lots of good info.
I have those books also and the FSM. They all contribute.
