Official NCFTE Operation Minor Threat

Looks like my kind of trail. Next time you go out there let me know, I'll hook up the Jeep and come and 'help' if I can.
So, did a little work on the hunting property this weekend.
Can yall see the trail? Oh there it is:
Got the truck up as far as I could to save walking. If you look real close you can see it way off in the distance. It's parked beside the tripod. Standing water everywhere back here. 6" to a foot. Knee to waist brush and grass hides the water very well. Take my word for it it was wet.
Driving down another "trail" I stopped and took a photo what it looked like going forward then turned the camera around to show the back. Can't even tell where I drove over all that crap. Yes, 4x4 was engaged.
Hope to get a brush hog out there in the next few weekends. Was able to relocate one ladder stand. Did a bunch of limb trimming at the tripod and got some bait plots. Had to cut a bunch of small saplings to clear a lane for the new ladder stand location. Saw plenty of trails and sign.
Also saw our bear is still hanging around the swamp. Haven't run into it yet but it's there. Always fresh sign, scrapes, and droppings.
Feeling good about this season. Hoping it cools down some. Now I just need to find time to hunt. Bow season three weekends away.

Maybe after the hunting season we can plan a trip down east and I'll show you around some trails. It's everything from easy sandy double track to deep bogs that you'd need a bulldozer to get out if you got stuck. Maybe we can all go and turn it into a camping and fishing trip. I know a place where we can take the 4x4's down some trails to a bluff and we can set up camp on the sandy beach below.

So when are we going to set up a meet for some shooting with NCFTE? I need to blow off some steam, it's been a bad week. First I found out my brother is not coming up for a fishing trip we were supposed to do this year, AGAIN. Then I found out yesterday that a friend of mine has one year to live with stage 4 cancer, really good guy with a family, WTF!!!! And today I got to have my AC system checked over after some anomalies this weekend, OVER $1800 to fix!!!! Hoping that next week is better.

Dern man. Sorry to hear all that. Keep your head up. Things will improve. Do you have a range close to you that you go too that the Genpop can use as well. I have two here that I frequent. A pistol range 15 meters. And a long gun range with 100 meter lanes. I can bring you as a guest to either. Or I'd be down to plink near you when convenient.

Think when I go in Friday, I'll be asking for some leave. Don't have any ranges that I currently use, usually shoot at my dad's in Boone when I go out there. Just no time to look around for a one close to home that I can use, and god forbid you bring a personal weapon on post

There's a range between Lillington and Angier, should be a shorter drive for Matt and Bob than going out to each other's place. It's called Public Shooting Range.

Then theres Kidds Place out between Fuquay and Sanford. Not sure if it's easier to get to for both or not.
Kidds Place
Let me know if you decide to use Kidds place. I may be able to join you or at least get you a discount, or try any way.
I've never tried either of these, just did a google search.
