Trailer hitch help

Ok my in laws are going to give me a 90 f250 with a 460 because they bought an 01 v10 f250 the receiver on the new truck is f'd up po torched the pin out I don't need a hitch on the 90 it will be a play toy my question is are the frames the same width so I can switch the receivers out?

Pretty sure the frame widths are different you would have to modify it.

No 80-97 frame is different from the 1999+ trucks

Just weld some 1/4" plate to each side of the receiver and drill a new pin hole. It'll last forever.

I can do that I was hoping to just switch recievers so I could disable the 460 from being used as a tow rig lol

If you really want to use the hitch off the 90 then fab some mount tabs to bolt it to the newer truck

Then you will need a 1/2 longer hitch pin as well
