6.7L deisel run on a Dyno

I have a 6.7L engine without the chassis and i'm trying to make it on its own. Does anyone know if the VCM will allow me to bypass certain parameters so it thinks its in a rolling chassis? Or has anyone hooked just their engine to a Dyno?

I have never heard this being done, and I've been around a lot of guys that build and take part in truck pulls. I've had mine on chassis dyno 552 HP and 1097 TQ, a little bit modified.
