Bought this 1965 F600 recently. Looking forward to bringing it back to life and getting it right.
It will need a new battery, carb, rear tires, and some brake work at a minimum to get it rolling.
Pretty straight truck! Looks nice. Looks like a great project.
Defiantly needs a windshield seal and it looks like the rear cab mounts are sagging pretty badly, the truck should not look like it is bent in the middle!
Thanksuch for the help David. I was hoping the sag is something relatively simple like cab mounts versus a bent frame. I need to get a laser level on it and see what's going on.
Mark.
Thanks Duggo. I'll post pics when I make some decent progress.
This is my first big truck project. I normally do '72 bumpside pickups but I like the look of F500/600/700s and for $750 for this one I couldn't resist stepping up to a big truck build.
I crawled all over it tonight and found it a little intimidating ... I'll most likely be asking FTE questions as I go.

Thanks. Yeah I went the split ring route because it was a simple and affordable solution to the widow maker problem at $900 for six with basically new 9.00 x 20 NDT tires.

Gotta do the same for my Daddyo truck, a 1942 1.5ton, old split rings. Hope to be successful. Have a look at the flickr pics https://www.flickr.com/photos/1942fo...7630229040134/
The original frame has been replaced with a straight 2ton frame, the original was swiss cheesed. No pics of the new frame yet.
