On Thursday I was coming home from work and my truck shut off, then I try and crank it on and and the batteries died after two tries, then my buddy jumped my truck with cables then it was shutting off 2 mins after the cables were off, so then we jump it again and it stayed on so I was driving home and it died out again, so we tow it home I pull the alternator off took it to get tested and it was bad, so I put a new one in and now the truck won't start, cranks but no start???
Are you're batteries good? Bad alt can damage them. Low volt is also bad for ficm. Do you have a odb2 monitor like scangauge II so you can get some live data?

With a bad alternator, the Batteries and FICM took a hit, you really need to load test each Battery separate and check FICM volts your FICM has main power logic power and Vehicle power (mp,lp,vp ) If you anything below 45 It's toast and needs to be repaired or replaced. A gauge to monitor as Mentioned is a must as this will show the good the bad and the Ugly, and the Ugly would be replacing the Injectors because of the Batts alt and FICM.
Got both batteries checked there both good and fully charged, new alternator and still no start???? When i sent my FICM 5 months ago to get checked i had got the extra volt added???
Idk if this counts but I have the SCT livewire and it's not throwing a code, I was Ganna check the volts on my FICM when I get home from work because if the bad batteries and bad alternator fried it I have it under warranty...... I mean I know a little about diesels but not alot...... What do u think it can be
we think could be never sprayed ether into your 6.0 cracks can and will form in your engine's cylinder walls and ruin your block and you need a gauge to get some real numbers, what he said
