data link..no response

I have a '99 f250 s/d 5.4L 4x4. I have changed tuning with a Superchips tuner several years ago. Recently I hooked up to the data link port to check for engine codes and tuning settings. The tuner is vin locked with my truck. It gave me a no response signal. Is there a fuse or relay that could be keeping me from accessing the computer? Any help would be great . thanks, Huckster

It's the same fuse as the cigarette lighter that supplies power to the obdII port. If it powers on when plugged in and the cigarette lighter works then your problem is with the tuner.

check for power at the cig lighter.

Check the fuse for the lighter.
