Is there anybody that lives in Greensboro? I might be up there working at Timco in a couple of weeks and I am looking for a cheap motel near there for a few weeks that would be used to having contract employees showing up
rockittsled, I am about 75 miles east of there, I checked your reference to find it at the Piedmont Triad International Airport. I don't have any specific recommendation for you, I do feel pretty certain finding something shouldn't be a problem.
Have you spoken to HR at Timco? They should be able to help.
I just got off the phone with my oldest son, that has done a lot of traveling like you are discussing. He suggested Extended Stay (one at the airport) Candlewood & Studio Plus all are suites. They are better for staying in for full weeks to multi weeks. They will have a kitchenette, small refridge, microwave, laundry facilities down the hall.
He suggested checking Orbitz or Yapta for room rates in reg motels.
I live in VA, but I work in the color lab for Sherwin Williams in Greensboro NC which is right behind the airport, so Im right down the road from Timco. Here are some you can check with:
Holiday Inn 336-668-0421
Fairview Inn 336-668-9400
Days Inn 336-668-0476
Comfort Suites 336-931-1272
All these are within 6 miles of Timco, maybe a little closing but just guessing. If you call and tell them your situation they will probably give you a good rate. Seems like Timco would help out as well as said above.
Yes sir. 62 miles 1 way and takes me 1 hour and 15 minutes to get to work. But believe me, if it wasn't for what they are paying me, I would not do it. I can't make that Kind of money here were I live in virginia.
You are aware that if you have a Walmart Discover card you can get a $.15 discount off the posted price at participating Murphy USA? The Walmart in Oxford near me does not offer the discount.
