Everything for braking system is new, but still no stop. Put in a new booster today...pedal still goes to the floor and rises slowly. Any suggestions?

My first thought would be master cylinder, sounds like a seal problem. Did you rebuild it, or replace it?

Master or a slave cylinder in the rear drum leaking by... definitely a seal issue or a bunch of air in the lines.

First question: are you down fluid?
Like Flecker said, could be air. And, 98 is probably right: master cly. if no fluid loss.

The master cylinder was replaced before I bought the truck. The new booster still makes a whooshing sound when pedal depressed. Ive opened bleed valves one by one and let gravity run its course. Still no brakes in forward or reverse. Im lost. Could the booster hose have anything to do with this?

1. Did the brakes ever work correctly for you?
2. If you have no fluid loss, and the pedal "goes to the floor," my money is still on air or a bad MC. Regardless of the MC age. Pedal to the floor is not a booster issue.

did you bench bleed the master before you put it on? if not, you will never get the air out of it.

That's right. And, air bubbles in the MC reservoir can be a sign of that.

The mc was replaced by the previous owner before I bought it. Gonna pull it later and see if it can be bled...or replaced.

If the brakes have never worked correctly for you, it is worth bleeding the MC. You don't have to remove it. Just disconnect the brake lines, plug the MC output ports, and slowly pump the pedal until no more bubbles.
Re-connect lines. Bleed at all four wheels.

Ill try that...thanks Roy. So tired of spending money on this truck; bought it 6 months ago and still haven't driven it.
